Pork Picnic Shoulder

A traditional holiday favourite that can be enjoyed at any meal, anytime. This selected pork shoulder is specially trimmed then cured using special cures to give it a distinct flavour. It is then cooked and smoked using real hardwood chips, not artificial sprays or dips. We recommend that it be served heated as the natural juices will enhance the flavour.

Pork, Water, Salt, Sugars (sugar), Sodium phosphate, Seaweed flour, Sodium erythorbate, Sodium nitrite, Spices, Smoke.
Cooking instructions are included on the reverse side of the label: Preheat oven to 350’F (170’C). Remove ham from plastic wrapper. Place in large roasting pan and add approx. 1″ (25mm) of cold water to the bottom of pan. Heat 40-55 minutes per kilogram, or until meat thermometer reads 160’F (71’C). Our Picnics are fully spiced and smoked, therefore do not need any further addition of seasonings.
